Books on Wheels
If you can't get to the library, we're happy to bring the library to you!
As a service for seniors and those with disabilities, the Port Townsend Public Library provides free home delivery service to those who live within Port Townsend city limits.
Library volunteers deliver selected materials in all formats (books, Large Print books, audio books, DVDs, videos, and music CDs) to individuals both at home and in care centers.
Just complete the online request-for-services form to get started, or call, Keith Darrock at 344-3061.
Books to Grow On
Here's how children in daycare can enjoy picture books and other library materials––even if they can't come to the library.
Each month the library delivers a box filled with books, audio cassettes and story videos to participating child care providers. It's our hope that every child will have the opportunity to discover the pleasure of sharing picture books and the joy of hearing stories that make them laugh and teach them about the world they live in.
Early exposure to books and being read to helps encourage and motivate children with the desire to learn to read for themselves.
There's no cost to have books and library materials delivered to your day care, and signing up is quick and easy. Just contact Keith Darrock at the Port Townsend Library, 344-3061 or by email.
